Profix Smash Repair is seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our team in St Marys, NSW. This is a full time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with a leading automotive repair provider. You will be working on-site in our St Marys facility, where you'll apply your expertise in panel beating and vehicle restoration to deliver high-quality results for our valued customers.
This role is central to our operations, ensuring that every vehicle that passes through our workshop meets our exacting standards of craftsmanship and precision.
What you'll be doing
- Assessing vehicle damage and determining the most effective repair approach
- Using hand and power tools to reshape and straighten vehicle panels
- Welding damaged panels and sections of vehicle frames as required
- Preparing panels for painting by filling, sanding and finishing surfaces
- Ensuring all repaired sections align correctly with vehicle specifications
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
- Working collaboratively with other team members including painters and mechanics
- Documenting repair work and maintaining accurate records
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and company procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a panel beater or in a similar automotive trades role
- Strong technical knowledge of panel beating, welding and vehicle repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and specialist panel beating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and vehicle specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive trades (must have)
- Solid communication skills and a professional approach to customer service
