The role
Applications are sought for the position of Paramedic.
The responsibilities of this role will be:
- Provide primary healthcare, emergency medical response and occupational health services across surface, underground, processing and remote mining areas
- Support safe operations through rapid incident response, emergency preparedness and medical facility readiness
- Assist with fitness-for-work, drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance and preventative health programs
- Coordinate first aid training, health promotion activities and emergency response support
- Support workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes
- Work closely with the medical team, HST team, operational leaders, contractors and external medical providers
- Contribute to compliance,
accurate reporting and continuous improvement of site health and safety systems
About you To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Paramedicine or equivalent degree.
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Paramedic
- Advanced Life Support (ALS2) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
- Injury Management and Return to Work Coordinators qualification
- Drug and Alcohol Testing certification
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Training (TAE40122) (Desirable)
- Energetic and proactive approach to health and safety activities
- Strong analytical capabilities
