Venue & Events Specialist - In-house Membership Organisation
Our client is an established and well-regarded skilled association, with a busy calendar of events- across a wide range of formats. This role is part of the Venue and Events Team responsible for the planning and delivery of meetings, functions, online series, seminars, conferences and other special events.
The role:
- Assist with the end-to-end planning and delivery of a wide range of internal and external events (up to 100pax) including; Event website set up, registration and delegate comms, event marketing, budget management, event documentation and timelines, research and coordination of event suppliers (AV, entertainment, florists, and photographers etc) and all logistics coordination
- Onsite event set up, management and bump out
- You will lead smaller live and regular online events/webcasts as well as supporting Event Managers on larger event formats
- Management of event collateral including brochures, presentations, signage, menus, name badges, seating plans, and place cards.
- Internal and external communications including direct mail, email communications, invitations, event agendas, post event surveys and timelines
- Project management of timelines and budgets ensuring all deadlines are met and all events are delivered successfully
- Excellent stakeholder management, fostering good communications and relationships between requisite departments to ensure overall aims of the relevant function goals are achieved
Candidate profile:
- You will have 3-5 year’s experience in corporate events (managing events end-to-end), in an events agency or in-house events role
- Demonstrated proficiency in full Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory, experience with event management software such as Cvent or EventsAir is highly regarded
- Be tech savvy, ideally having webcast experience or be willing to learn
- Be able to lead and manage smaller corporate events by yourself
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with exceptional customer service focus
- You will have impressive interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent administrative skills and high attention to detail
- Good organisation, planning, and strong time management skills- being able to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team with multiple key stakeholders
- Self-motivated with a proactive hands-on approach
