WSP's Geotechnics & Tunnels team plays a critical role in some of Australia's most complex and high‐profile infrastructure projects. We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to plan and deliver investigations, interpret data, prepare reports and support design and proposal work across projects from early investigations to construction.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Planning and delivering geotechnical investigations, including site reconnaissance, fieldwork, sampling, logging and in‐situ testing
n
- Interpreting geotechnical data and contributing to design recommendations and risk assessments
n
- Preparing technical reports and supporting design documentation for small to medium projects
n
- Working closely with senior engineers and project managers on investigation scoping, methodologies and project delivery
n
- Supporting proposals and tenders, including technical inputs and cost estimates
n
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with clients on technical queries and project updates
n
- Providing guidance to technicians and junior team members in both field and office environments
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- A degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering (or equivalent)
n
- 2+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering or a related discipline
n
- Strong field experience, including soil logging, sampling and site investigations
n
- Exposure to investigation techniques such as CPTs, boreholes, test pits and in‐situ testing
n
- Well‐developed analytical skills and the ability to interpret geotechnical data
n
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills, with experience contributing to technical reports
n
- A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
n
- Eligibility for (or progress toward) Engineers Australia membership
n
