About The Role

n

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Hope Valley animal feed mill.

n

This role runs on a rotating shift roster comprising of 3 weeks of day shifts (6 AM – 2 PM) and 1 week of afternoon shifts (2 PM – 10PM). There is a requirement to be on call 1 week per month.

n

You will be working at a modern, highly advanced site. Day-to-day maintenance is preventative work rather than reactive repairs.

n

Main responsibilities of this role include:

n

n
- Scheduled and preventative maintenance on feed milling equipment (FMCG environment)
n
- Collaborate with Production functions to schedule maintenance work for optimal customer outcomes
n
- Conduct plant and workshop inspections in line with approved safety, hazard, and hygiene practices
n
- Complete maintenance records and documentation promptly and accurately
n
- Identify and escape issues promptly to the manager for effective solutions
n




- Optimise interfaces between different work areasContinually seek improvements across maintenance activities
n

About You

n

As an experienced and professional Maintenance Fitter, we are looking for the following qualities:

n

n
- Relevant trade qualification required (e.g. Mechanical Fitter & Turner)
n
- Extensive fault-finding and problem-solving expertise
n
- Strong computer literacy skills
n
- Ability to handle difficult problems with a logical and systematic approach
n
- Good understanding of and commitment to health and safety work practices
n
- Restricted Electrical Licence is desirable (manufacturing equipment)
n
- Prior maintenance experience in the Feed or Food manufacturing sector is desirable (FMCG)
n
