We're looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join a high-performing payroll team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll across multiple locations.
n
Role Responsibilities
n
n
- End-to-end payroll processing for salaried and award staff.
n
- Be the payroll expert for all AU-related queries and discrepancies.
n
- Process new starters, terminations, salary changes, and adjustments.
n
- Ensure compliance with PAYG, FBT, Super, and tax legislation.
n
- Analyse time & attendance records for accuracy and Award compliance.
n
- Support monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end processes.
n
- Maintain payroll records and system integrity.
n
- Partner with HR to improve processes and assist on broader projects.
n
n
Role Requirements
n
n
- 3+ years' payroll experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
n
- Knowledge of NZ payroll is a plus.
n
- Skilled in payroll/HRIS platforms (Dayforce preferred).
n
- Strong knowledge of Awards, PAYG, FBT, Super, and tax.
n
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
n
- Collaborative, proactive, and customer-focused.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Diploma or higher in HR/Finance or Cert IV in Payroll advantageous.
n
