Zitron Australia Pty Ltd is a growing, ventilation fan manufacturing company, suppling industrial fan units to the mining and road tunnel sector, based in the southern suburbs of Perth.

n

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Engineering Draftperson, to join the fast-growing Australian arm of an international group that is a global leader in the field of ventilation for underground mines, road and railway tunnels, and metro systems.

n

The company is part of a group that operates in over 80 countries on 5 continents. In Australia, the company has supplied the ventilation required for the construction and long-term operation of many of the nation's major underground transport infrastructure projects.

n

Qualifications & experience:

n

n
- An advantage to have approximately 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
n
- Experience in understanding the basics of mechanical and structural engineering and in applying different Australian and international standards i.e. AS 1100 and AS 4100
n
- Familiar with CAD software like primarily Autocad and Inventor. Candidates with experience in Revit or PTC CREO will also be considered.
n
- Familiar with BIM interfacing systems in infrastructure projects.
n
- Capable of working under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
n
- An advantage to have Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting
n
- An advantage to have experience within steel fabrication / manufacturing industry, including knowledge of material standards and welding symbols in Australia.
n
- An advantage to have knowledge of welding, fabrication, design principles.
n
- Familiar with quality control process and the need of specific dimensions shown in drawings so the QA/QC can be carried out.
n
- Permit to work in Australia
n

Tasks & responsibilities:

n

n
- Prepare detailed 3D models, drawings and BOMs for the products being fabricated either in house or subcontracted.
n




- Initiate the process of manufacturing BOM creation in the company's ERP.
n
- Prepare project drawings including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines
n
- Integrate 2D and 3D models from different equipment obtained from different suppliers and sources into overall tunnel ventilation system by using CAD and BIM tools.
n
- Support the sales team with preliminary drawing for tenders.
n
- Review drawings and material lists produced by Zitron or other suppliers overseas i.e. Zitron head office in Europe and identify potential gaps with locally available material or local standard compliance.
n
- Actively collaborate modifying overseas drawings, designs and BOMs to close these gaps.
n
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
n
- Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
n
- Familiar with quality control process and the need of specific dimensions shown in drawings so the QA/QC can be carried out.
n
- Prepare design packages for Project Manager/Engineer to validate.
n
- Positive attitude, support workshop with technical experience and knowledge
