Payroll Officer | Systems & Process Focus | Yatala Payroll is more than pressing a button. Based at our Yatala head office, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and act as the team’s 2IC. This hands-on role suits a technically confident payroll skilled who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership and wants to keep learning. Your attitude, aptitude and potential will matter more than the number of years you have worked in payroll.

About the role

- Support end-to-end payroll processing and assist with daily team coordination
- Collect and interpret timesheets, allowances, hours and employment conditions

- Cross-check payroll data, investigate discrepancies and complete reconciliations




- Apply relevant employment conditions in accordance with the National Employment Standards
- Work proactively with employees, supervisors and managers to resolve queries and obtain approvals

- Maintain accurate records and reporting while helping improve processes and maximise the COINS ERP system

About You

- Previous payroll experience and an understanding of the end-to-end payroll process

- Confidence working with payroll systems, technology and high-volume data
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies
- A proactive and accountable approach to resolving problems

- The confidence to engage with and influence people at every level
- The ambition and learning agility to take on greater responsibility

Experience with construction payroll, enterprise agreements or COINS ERP would be helpful, but it is not essential.
