Payroll Officer (Ongoing Temporary Contract)

The Role
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while delivering exceptional service to employees and stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include
- Processing employee onboarding information and payroll setup, including tax and superannuation details.
- Maintaining employee payroll records and actioning remuneration, transfer and employment status changes.
- Managing payroll enquiries and resolving payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring payroll transactions are processed accurately and within strict deadlines.
- Performing payroll reconciliations and validating payroll data to maintain data integrity.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and exceptions.
- Liaising with employees,
managers and key stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting payroll compliance activities and contributing to continuous process improvements.
- Assisting with payroll reporting and general payroll administration duties.
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working as a Payroll Officer within a high-volume payroll environment.
- Mandatory experience using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) .
- Robust understanding of payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to payroll administration.
