The Role

Join a growing Melbourne-based team delivering accurate and timely payroll services to a portfolio of clients. Working across multiple payroll cycles and requirements, you'll combine solid attention to detail with a proactive client-focused approach, ensuring payroll processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Process payroll across for - purpose clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery across varying pay frequencies.
- Apply relevant payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements to support compliance.
- Manage employee payroll changes, including leave, superannuation, allowances, and termination payments.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and assist with periodic reporting and year-end requirements.
- Respond to payroll enquiries and build robust client relationships through high-quality service.
- Monitor payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and escalate issues where required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

About You You are a detail-oriented payroll professional who takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable outcomes. You enjoy working with complex information, meeting deadlines, and providing qualified support to clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Proficiencies

- Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or equivalent payroll/administration experience.
- Sound understanding of payroll processes and willingness to develop knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation.
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector and SCHADS Award knowledge will be highly regarded.
- Experience using payroll or accounting software such as KeyPay, Xero Payroll, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised, methodical approach.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional client-focused manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative when required.
