Your new role

This manufacturer is seeking an experienced and driven Fabrication Operations Manager to lead their fabrication personnel and ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving continuous improvement, and managing a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Lead and manage end-to-end fabrication operations (cutting, welding, assembly, finishing)
n
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards
n
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise workflow and productivity
n
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering, and performance management
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies)
n
- Manage budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
n
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline operations
n
- Ensure compliance with OH&S;, environmental,



and regulatory requirements
n
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
n
- Foster a strong safety culture and lead by example on-site
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Proven experience in a Fabrication, Manufacturing, or Heavy Industry environment
n
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (welding, machining, structural steel, or similar)
n
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
n
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, CI, or operational excellence frameworks
n
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
n
- Trade qualification or engineering/operations-related degree (desirable)
n
