Have you previously worked for a residential builder and have a strong understanding of job costing, progress claims and cash flow?

Are you experienced using Xero in a construction environment? This role may be of interest.

We're working with a well-established residential building company based in Eagle Farm, seeking an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.

n

This is a hands-on role that works closely with the operational side of the business and supports live construction projects.

The role

n

You'll be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping and financial support across the business, including:

n

- Job costing and project cost tracking
n
- Progress claims and client invoicing
n
- Accounts payable and receivable
n
- Payroll (STP, super, allowances)
n
- BAS and GST compliance
n
- Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations
n
- Supporting cash flow reporting and forecasting
n
- Liaising with external accountants
n

n





What we're looking for

n

n
- Experience working for a residential builder or construction business
n
- Solid understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
n
- Payroll experience, including STP and super
n
- BAS and GST knowledge
n
- Highly organised, accurate, and comfortable working autonomously
n

n

Nice to have

n

n
- Experience with construction software (e.g. Databuild)
n
- Exposure to progress billing and retention accounting
n
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Bookkeeping / Accounting
n
