We have an exciting prospect for a Sous Chef Pastry located in a Melbourne bayside bakery.

n

Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced kitchen.

n

In return you will be provided with a workplace where you will be able to continue to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive team and sponsorship is available; however the candidate must already be in Australia to apply.

Salary range from $70,000 to $80,000 Plus Super

Duties

n

n
- Menu planning
n
- Estimating food and labour costs
n
- Liaising with suppliers
n
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Ensuring hygiene regulations are met
n
- Freezing and preserving foods
n

n

Qualifications

n

n




- Completion of a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification including Cert IV or Diploma of Hospitality is a minimum requirement.
n
- Minimum of 3 years experience is also a requirement for this Pastry Sous Chef role.
n

n

Experience Required

n

- Show sound pastry cookery techniques and ability to learn new ones.
n
- Work well under pressure.
n
- Team oriented.
n
- Positive, punctual and professional approach.
n
- Familiar with food safety and OHS guidelines.
n
- Attention to detail.
n
- Competency with ordering and managing stock.
n
