Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Manager based in Sydney for our client, to oversee procurement activities for large-scale Transmission and Distribution projects.

n

This role will be responsible for leading procurement strategies, supplier performance, and compliance, ensuring critical goods and services are delivered on time and within budget to support Australia's energy transition.

n

Responsibilities

n

- Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including planning, tendering, negotiation, and contract awards.
n
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
n
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best value and mitigate risk.
n
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery to ensure compliance with project requirements.
n
- Provide procurement reporting and insights to project leadership, supporting forecasting and cost management.
n
- Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Required Experience

n

n




- Proven experience in procurement management within the energy infrastructure sector, ideally in transmission and distribution.
n
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract frameworks, and commercial principles under the Australian Standards framework.
n
- Demonstrated track record in managing supplier negotiations and complex procurement packages.
n
- Familiarity with high-voltage equipment and materials supply chains.
n
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
