The chance
n
The Barkly Football & Collingwood FC NGA Lead plays an important role in supporting football across the Barkly region, helping strengthen competitions, pathways, participation and community connection.
n
This role is responsible for the administration of the Barkly Football League, across senior and junior competitions, while also supporting game development outcomes in the region.
n
You will also coordinate local activations for the Collingwood Football Club Next Generation Academy, helping young people access opportunities to participate, develop and connect through football.
n
What You'll Own
n
You'll help deliver organised, safe and engaging football experiences across the Barkly region, working closely with clubs, volunteers, schools, community stakeholders and AFLNT teams.
n
You'll Add Value Through
n
n
- Preparing and managing Barkly Football League match day operations
n
- Developing and delivering participation plans for the Barkly region
n
- Supporting the development of junior and youth football pathways
n
- Administering competitions in line with the National Policies Handbook and Barkly Football League By-Laws
n
- Building strong relationships with AFLNT, league and club presidents, volunteers, committees and other key stakeholders
n
- Driving umpire recruitment and retention across the region
n
- Coordinating match day staff duties and rosters
n
- Supporting consistent competition operations across the Northern Territory
n
- Assisting with information for media activity relating to the region and competition
n
- Supporting the delivery of Collingwood Football Club Next Generation Academy activities in the Barkly region
n
- Helping identify local talent and connect players with academy programmes and opportunities
n
- Working with schools, game development and remote teams to support sustainable participation, clubs, competitions and communities
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
n
- Experience working with volunteers, committees and community stakeholders
n
- Strong organisation, planning and coordination skills
n
- The ability to build trusted relationships across clubs, schools, communities and football stakeholders
n
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
n
- The ability to stay effective and adaptable when priorities, tasks or responsibilities change
n
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively without close supervision
n
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
n
- A valid Working with Children Check
n
- A current Northern Territory Driver Licence
n
