Roomstay (SaaS) and Dijitally (agency) operate across Australia, the UK, and Ireland with multi-entity, multi-currency finance operations. We are hiring a hands‐on Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function across both businesses.

This role is suited to a commercially minded accountant who can run finance operations end‐to‐end, improve structure, and provide clear financial insight to leadership. This is not a traditional finance role focused only on reporting — this role is responsible for bringing control, structure, and visibility to the entire finance function.

Core Responsibilities

1. End‐to‐End Finance Ownership

n

n
- Take full ownership of finance operations across both businesses
n
- Manage invoicing across multiple entities
n
- Conduct bank and card reconciliations
n
- Oversee accounts receivable and collections
n
- Process supplier payments and payment runs
n
- Maintain accurate, clean, and up‐to‐date records in Xero
n
- Handle multi‐entity and multi‐currency transactions (including FX platforms such as Airwallex or equivalent)

2. Payroll & Compliance

n

n
- Oversee payroll for an international team
n
- Ensure compliance with BAS / GST / PAYG obligations
n
- Ensure payroll and statutory requirements
n
- Coordinate with external accountants for filings and statutory reporting
n

n

3. Monthly Reporting (Decision‐Focused)

n

n
- Produce management reporting pack including revenue by entity and key drivers
n
- Calculate and report gross margin (particularly for agency delivery)
n




- Report operating costs and profitability
n
- Show cash position and movement
n
- Ensure reporting is clear, structured, and decision‐ready (not just accounting outputs)
n

4. Cashflow & Forecasting

n

n
- Build and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts
n
- Provide visibility on expected inflows and outflows
n
- Highlight cash risks and constraints
n
- Forecast working capital requirements
n

n

5. Commercial Finance & Insight

n

n
- Act as a finance partner to the founder
n
- Identify client / project profitability
n
- Track SaaS revenue performance
n
- Highlight margin leakage and cost inefficiencies
n
- Provide proactive insight, not just reporting
n

n

6. Process & Control

n

n
- Design and implement structured finance processes across both businesses
n
- Improve efficiency and reduce manual work
n
- Ensure consistency across multi‐entity accounting and intercompany transactions
n
- Introduce clear ownership and accountability across finance activities
n

Finance Ownership & Operating Model

n

n
- Take full ownership of invoicing, payroll, and financial operations end‐to‐end
n
- Remove reliance on founder involvement in day‐to‐day finance processes
n




- Replace meeting‐driven workflows with structured, system‐led processes
n
- Establish clear ownership between account management and finance teams
n
- Ensure invoicing, collections, and payroll operate consistently without manual coordination
n
- Identify inefficiencies and redesign workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and control
n

Cross‐Team Workflow Ownership

n

n
- Own the interface between account management and finance
n
- Ensure revenue inputs from delivery teams are accurate, timely, and structured
n
- Remove reliance on meetings to validate invoicing inputs
n
- Implement explicit, repeatable workflows for billing and revenue recognition
n

n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Qualified accountant (CA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
n
- 5+ years' experience in Finance Manager / Financial Controller role
n
- Strong experience with Xero
n
- Experience working across multi‐entity structures and multi‐currency environments
n
- Hands‐on mindset (comfortable executing as well as overseeing)
n
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets capability
n

Highly Desirable

- Experience in agency / services businesses
n
- Experience in SaaS or subscription‐based revenue models
n
- Experience managing offshore or outsourced finance support
n
- Familiarity with Airwallex, Wise, or FX platforms
n

n

Working Setup

n

This is a part‐time role, working 2‐3 days per week in a fully remote environment, reporting to the founder.
