We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments to:
- implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
- monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
- support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role
The Senior Change, Readiness and Transition Lead supports the planning, coordination and delivery of change, readiness and transition activities for the National Early Childhood Worker Register (the National Worker Register), including Stage 1B reforms. Reporting to the Program Manager, National Register, the role supports effective implementation by assessing change impacts, coordinating readiness activities, preparing communications and guidance materials, supporting training and stakeholder engagement, monitoring adoption risks, and helping transition recent or changed processes into business as usual operations.
The position works closely with policy, operational, data, privacy, security, technology, communications, Regulatory Authorities, and sector stakeholders to support practical, well-communicated and well-managed implementation of National Worker Register changes.
This role is full-time and fixed term for up to 12 months at ACECQA Band 6 ($130,608 - $145,629).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated experience supporting change, readiness, transition or implementation activities in a complex project, program, regulatory or government environment.
- Strong ability to assess change impact, identify implementation risks and support practical transition planning for different stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare guidance materials, communication products, training content, status updates, briefings and implementation resources.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal teams, government stakeholders, Regulatory Authorities, operational users and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational and coordination skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, track actions and dependencies, and deliver high quality work within agreed timeframes.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risks, escalate issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, including policy,
operations, technology, data, privacy, security, communications and stakeholder engagement.
While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:
- Experience supporting change, readiness or transition activities for digital systems, government services, regulatory programs or sector facing reforms.
- Experience developing guidance, training materials, frequently asked questions, work instructions, communication products or stakeholder implementation materials.
- Understanding of implementation readiness, stakeholder adoption, operational support models, business process change or transition to business as usual.
