What You Will Be Working On
n
You will advise employers and employees across contracts, policies, disciplinary matters, terminations, workplace investigations, disputes and workplace risk.
n
Your work will include:
n
n
- Leading matters before the Fair Work Commission, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and courts
n
- Preparing advice, submissions, evidence and correspondence
n
- Translating complex legal developments into explicit, practical guidance
n
- Building trusted client relationships
n
- Supervising and developing junior lawyers
n
n
This is a hands‐on role where your work will directly influence client outcomes and the continued growth of the practice.
n
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
n
You are likely to be an employment lawyer seeking more autonomy, broader exposure and closer access to senior practitioners.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
- Around 4-8 years' post-admission experience
n
- Queensland admission and relevant practising eligibility
n
- Employment law, workplace relations or transferable litigation experience
n
- Strong drafting, research and matter management skills
n
- Experience with advisory and contentious work
n
n
You will be commercially minded, collaborative and confident dealing with clients on sensitive or emotionally charged matters.
n
Employment Lawyers, Workplace Relations Lawyers, Industrial Relations Lawyers, Senior Lawyers and Senior Associates are encouraged to apply.
