We are currently seeking an experienced SEQT Coordinator to join our team at the George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa, working an 8:6 roster.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with site leadership, the SEQT Coordinator will play a key role in driving safety, environmental, and quality performance across site operations.

n

This is a hands‐on role requiring strong leadership, proactive engagement, and the ability to influence safe work behaviours in a dynamic underground mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Promote and maintain Jetcrete's Safety, Environment, Quality & Training (SEQT) standards
n
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
n
- Facilitate incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions
n
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, site regulations, and client expectations
n




- Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives
n
- Monitor and report on SEQT performance metrics
n
- Support document control, procedures, and continuous improvement processes
n
- Liaise with client representatives and regulatory authorities as required
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Previous experience in a SEQT / HSEQ / Safety Coordinator role within mining or heavy industry
n
- Strong understanding of underground mining safety practices (preferred)
n
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
n
- Certificate IV in TAE40122 Training and Assessment (must)
n
- ICAM or similar incident investigation training (desirable)
n
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and mining regulations
n
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Ability to work in a remote site environment on a roster
n
