As a Volunteer Pet Visitor, you and your furry (or feathered!) companion can bring comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles to HammondCare residents.
- Spend time chatting with residents
- Share cuddles, pats, and happy moments
- Help spark treasured memories of beloved pets
- Brighten someone's day through the special connection that animals provide
Visits are relaxed, rewarding, and adaptable. You may enjoy one-on-one visits with residents or join small group activities where your pet can be the star of the show!
Whether you have a gentle dog, calm cat, or another suitable companion animal, your visits can make a meaningful difference to residents' wellbeing and quality of life. No special skills are required, just a caring nature and a pet that enjoys being around people.
- When: Weekly for 1 hour
- Days: Monday or Tuesday afternoons from 2:30pm
- Location: HammondCare North Turramurra Specialised Dementia Residential Care
- Weekend opportunities may also be available for volunteers with experience in dementia care.
