About the Role
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you’ll often be one of the first people our customers meet, helping create a welcoming and professional experience every day.
Working alongside our experienced pharmacy team, you’ll assist customers with over-the-counter products, support the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy and help maintain the high standards of service TerryWhite Chemmart is known for.
Your responsibilities will include
- Delivering outstanding customer service and personalised assistance
- Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines within your training and experience
- Referring customers to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Processing sales accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Accepting prescriptions for dispensing and assisting with customer enquiries
- Maintaining attractive, organised and well-stocked retail displays
- Assisting with stock replenishment, merchandising and promotional displays
- Supporting TerryWhite Chemmart health services and in-store initiatives
- Working collaboratively with pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team
The roster can offer up to 38 hours per week, with part-time hours also considered. Some occasional weekend work will be required, and there is flexibility around the roster to secure the right applicant.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in developing their pharmacy career.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous community pharmacy or retail experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confidence assisting customers with over-the-counter products within your training and experience
- Good computer skills, particularly if you’re interested in developing into dispensary or stock management
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive and proactive approach to your work
- The ability to multitask and contribute to a busy team environment
- A Certificate II, III or IV in Community Pharmacy would be advantageous
