Role Description The Physical Performance Coach: A-League Women is a full time, on-site role based in Brisbane City, QLD. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring physical performance programs for A-League Women players, including strength and conditioning, speed, agility, and endurance training.

The role involves conducting regular fitness assessments, managing player workloads, and collaborating with coaching, medical, and sports science staff to optimize performance and reduce injury risk. The coach will plan and deliver individualized and team-based training sessions, provide feedback and education to players on physical preparation and recovery,



and maintain accurate performance and training records. The role also includes contributing to match preparation, supporting return-to-play processes, and aligning physical performance strategies with the club’s overall football philosophy.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Athletic Performance and Strength & Conditioning for high-performance athletes.
- Strong background in Training and Coaching, including planning, delivering, and reviewing football-specific physical programs.
- Experience or understanding of Business Coaching principles as they relate to communication, leadership, and athlete development.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in exercise science, sports science, strength & conditioning, or a related field.
- Recognized strength & conditioning certification (e.g., ASCA, NSCA CSCS) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience working in professional or elite sport environments, preferably football or women’s high-performance programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary staff and communicate clearly with players and colleagues.
- Strong data literacy, including use of GPS, wellness monitoring, and performance analysis tools to inform training decisions.
