As part of a major enterprise transformation, they are strengthening their delivery capability and seeking a hands-on PMO Lead to bring structure, visibility and consistency across a complex program of work.
The Opportunity
Working closely with another PMO Lead, a Transformation Program Manager, Project Managers, vendors and delivery teams, you will oversee the operational mechanics that keep the program moving.
Your responsibilities will span governance coordination, program reporting, financial administration, vendor management and delivery support. You will also help refine existing PMO processes, improve governance maturity and establish consistent ways of working across multiple workstreams.
This is a highly hands-on position where you'll need to be confident working within a maturing PMO and helping to uplift governance.
Please note: this is a 12 month fixed term contract, based in the Melbourne CBD with hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of a large, multi-stream transformation program
- Manage governance activities, including Steering Committee meetings, reporting packs, RAID registers and delivery reporting
- Maintain visibility of program milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and actions
- Coordinate stakeholders across Project Managers, delivery teams, vendors and senior leadership
- Manage financial administration, including invoices, payments, forecasts, Statements of Work and Change Requests
- Support vendor administration and ensure commercial documentation remains accurate and up to date
- Maintain program documentation and consistent reporting across multiple workstreams
- Support governance compliance and established reporting cadences
- Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, controls and ways of working
About You You will be an organised and proactive PMO qualified who enjoys working at the heart of a fast-paced transformation program. You can manage competing priorities, bring order to ambiguity and build trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
You will bring
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation or complex, multi-project programs
- Strong governance experience, including Steering Committee reporting, RAID management and delivery coordination
- Robust financial coordination experience, including invoices, budgets, forecasts, payments, Statements of Work and Change Requests
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Confidence operating within ambiguous, evolving and fast-paced environments
- A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and coordination skills
- A collaborative, hands-on working style and continuous-improvement mindset
