Your New Role
n
We are seeking anexperienced Radio Technician / Communications Technician to join a site-basedmining operation on a 7/7 or 8/6 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Cairns. This hands-on rolewill see you responsible for maintaining and improving the site'scommunications infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity across miningoperations.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Install, maintain, and support radio and communications systems
n
- Maintain and troubleshoot UHF/VHF radio networks
n
- Support leaky feeder communication systems
n
- Perform fault finding, repairs, and system optimisation
n
- Maintain CCTV and telephony (VoIP) systems
n
- Deliver infrastructure upgrades and commissioning activities
n
- Maintain accurate documentation and system records
n
- Respond to incidents and escalations as required
n
- Work closely with IT and operational teams to ensure seamless connectivity across site
n

What You'll Need to Succeed
n
n
- Trade qualification or demonstrated experience in Radio Communications, Telecommunications, Electronics, ICT, or similar
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Experience working with communications infrastructure in an industrial, mining, or commercial environment
n
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
n
Highly regarded
n
n
- UHF/VHF radio systems experience
n
- Leaky feeder systems
n
- CCTV systems
n
- Telephony and VoIP systems
n
- Mining or remote-site experience
n
