Job Description

A global technology provideer is seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to support large-scale network transformation and modernisation projects across the region. This is a rolling 6-month contract offering exposure to complex, carrier-grade environments and next-generation network technologies.

The role is highly customer-facing and sits across engineering, delivery, and pre-sales support. You will play a key part in designing, upgrading, and optimising live networks while acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

- Designing and delivering network modernisation projects across in-service and greenfield environments
n
- Implementing complex upgrades and reconfigurations on live production networks
n
- Working on multi-vendor environments with a robust focus on Ciena platforms
n
- Acting as the primary technical interface for customers during deployment, testing, and optimisation
n




- Developing and owning engineering procedures for upgrades, migrations, and audits
n
- Supporting network turn-up, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation
n
- Collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams on service and delivery engagements
n
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering best practices
n

Requirements

n

n
- Strong experience in carrier-grade or large enterprise networking environments
n
- Hands-on experience working with Ciena network equipment in live networks
n
- Deep knowledge of IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, BGP/IGP, EVPN and modern network architectures
n
- Confident communicator able to operate in customer-facing environments
n
- Comfortable working across Linux/UNIX-based systems and network management tools
n
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
