Senior Network & Security Engineer

We're partnering with one of Adelaide's leading independent Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solution providers to find a Senior Network & Security Engineer who's passionate about delivering high-quality network and security solutions across a genuinely diverse client base spanning Education, Utilities, Government, Defence and Corporate sectors. We're looking for someone with a genuine growth mindset: curious and committed to continuous learning, who thrives on taking ownership and sharing knowledge with those around them. This is a technically rich role with a strong split between networking and security (leaning more heavily networking), where you'll take a proactive, design-led approach, assessing client requirements, producing technical designs, and delivering outcomes on an interesting range of projects.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Designing and implementing enterprise network and security solutions, including SD-WAN (Fortinet), next-generation firewalls, routing, switching and wireless technologies.
n
- Translating high-level architectures into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
n




- Supporting Solution Architects and Account Managers identify fit for purpose solutions for clients
n
- Acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex networking and security issues.
n
- Mentoring less experienced engineers and contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing.
n
- Participating in an on-call roster supporting critical customer environments.
n

What we're looking for

n

Must have:

n

n
- Robust experience operating at a senior (L4) level, or an L3 professional ready to step up into more design-focused work.
n
- Solid consulting or client-facing project experience.
n
- Hands-on expertise with SD-WAN/Fortinet and enterprise networking technologies.
n
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset, comfortable owning technical design, not just delivery, and genuinely motivated to keep learning and developing.
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
n

Nice to have:

n

n
- Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Security, HPE Aruba, or Microsoft Azure networking and security.
n
- Exposure to Defence, Government or other highly regulated environments.
n
