Hester Hornbrook Academy, an innovative and growing independently registered Special Assistance School which is part of the MCM Group, is seeking a proactive and strategic HR Business Partner to join their People & Culture team. As leaders and innovators in education, Hester Hornbrook Academy with multiple campuses across greater Melbourne allows young people who have been disengaged from education and training to pursue positive pathways.

About the Role

n

In this hands-on, strategic role, you'll partner with the Hester Hornbrook executive leadership team and Heads of Campus across multiple campuses to drive positive workforce practices and improve outcomes for both staff and students. From employee relations and industrial negotiations to capability development and workforce planning, you'll help shape a high-performing, inclusive, and supportive education environment.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Provide expert HR and employee relations advice across the employee lifecycle
n
- Lead complex case management, EBA negotiations, and conflict resolution
n
- Partner with leaders on performance, development, WHS, and return-to-work programs
n
- Ensure compliance with education and workforce regulations
n
- Support strategic workforce initiatives and change impact as the school continues to grow
n
- Travel across our campuses to connect with educational and wellbeing staff to deliver tailored support

The Person

n

n
- Proven HR/ER generalist experience in a similar role
n
- Strong knowledge of employment law, enterprise agreements, and industrial relations
n
- Skilled in case management, investigations, coaching, and workforce reporting
n
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Experience in education, is highly desirable
n
- A relevant HR qualification and valid driver's licence are essential
n
