Nexus Co Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected clinical psychology practice seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the operational and administrative functions of the business.

This is an opportunity to join a practice that is committed to providing exceptional psychological care while building on the skilled, collaborative and supportive workplace.

Working closely with the Director, clinical and administrative teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the practice operates efficiently, continues to grow, and delivers an outstanding experience for both clients and staff.

This is a hands-on leadership position where your ability to build relationships, create structure, solve problems and support people will be highly valued.

About the Opportunity

This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to become a trusted member of a small but dedicated team.

During your first six months, you will work onsite to build strong relationships with the team, develop a thorough understanding of the practice and become immersed in the day-to-day operations. Following this period, there may be the opportunity for a hybrid working arrangement, depending on operational requirements and mutual agreement.

Working alongside an experienced Director who values professionalism, collaboration and open communication, you will help shape the ongoing success of the practice while providing leadership across daily operations.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the operational, administrative and people functions of the practice.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and supporting the administrative team.
- Providing operational support to clinicians
- Overseeing daily workflows and practice operations




- Managing practice management systems and technology
- Monitoring compliance, privacy and accreditation requirements
- Producing operational and financial reports
- Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development
- Working closely with the Director on business planning and continuous improvement activities
- Managing client enquiries, feedback and complex situations professionally
- Promoting a positive workplace culture aligned with the values of the practice

About You We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order, supporting people and leading by example.

You are calm under pressure, communicate with confidence and understand that great practice management is about balancing operational excellence with genuine care for both clients and staff.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Previous Practice Manager or Operations Manager experience within healthcare, allied health or another professional services environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support a small team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to manage difficult conversations with empathy, professionalism and sound judement
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organisation
- Experience managing business systems, reporting and practice operations




- A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Xero and practice management software (Zanda experience is desirable but not essential).
