What if your expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory science could directly shape how AI reasons about medical evidence for researchers and clinicians worldwide?
We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level clinical rigor to cutting-edge AI development. You'll work with leading AI research teams to ensure that the clinical data powering next-generation AI systems meets the same standards expected in real-world regulatory submissions.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced clinical scientists who want to do meaningful work on their own terms.
- Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready datasets for AI training
- Interpret and audit clinical trial results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
- Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with regulatory expectations
- Identify gaps in how AI models reason about clinical outcomes and provide expert corrective feedback
- Help establish quality standards for clinical data used across AI research workflows
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Senior-level clinical scientist with hands-on experience designing protocols for regulatory submission
- Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for agencies such as the FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory bodies
- Strong grounding in clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
- Naturally rigorous — you hold clinical data to the highest standards of accuracy and consistency
- Explicit communicator who can translate complex clinical concepts into structured, actionable feedback
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, or clinical operations
- Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning systems in a biomedical context
- Experience contributing to cross-functional or distributed research teams
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems shaping the future of clinical and biomedical research
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
- Influence how AI understands, evaluates, and communicates real-world clinical evidence
- Collaborate with leading AI research labs and scientists from around the world
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
