The Role

This is more than a technical leadership position. As a Principal Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and strengthening AW Maritime's presence throughout Queensland.



You'll have the freedom to build client relationships, identify new opportunities, lead major projects and contribute to the continued growth of our national business.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients throughout Queensland.

· Lead the delivery of complex maritime and coastal engineering projects.

· Support the growth of the business in Queensland and particularly the Sunshine Coast office

· Identify and pursue new opportunities.

· Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the business.

· Maintain high standards of engineering quality and innovation.

· Contribute to AW Maritime's national strategy.

· Represent AW Maritime at industry events and conferences.





· Collaborate with maritime leaders across Australia.

About You

We are seeking someone who wants to make a genuine impact rather than simply occupy a role. You'll likely have:

· Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ.

· 15+ years' experience in maritime and coastal engineering.

· Strong relationships within Queensland's maritime, ports and coastal sectors.

· Demonstrated experience leading maritime engineering projects.

· Commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset.

· Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

· Based anywhere in Queensland, with a willingness to travel as required.
