The Role

This isn't simply another Principal Engineer position.



It's an prospect to re-establish and lead AW Maritime in New South Wales while being supported by an experienced and stable national team. You'll have the freedom to build client relationships, pursue opportunities, recruit your own team and grow the business in a way that reflects your strengths and aspirations.

You'll be supported by

Key Responsibilities

· Develop trusted relationships with clients throughout Western Australia.

· Lead the delivery of complex maritime and coastal engineering projects.

· Re-establish and grow the Sydney office (other NSW locations also considered)

· Recruit, mentor and develop a local team.

· Identify and pursue new opportunities.

· Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the business.

· Maintain high standards of engineering quality and innovation.

· Contribute to AW Maritime's national strategy.

· Represent AW Maritime at industry events and conferences.

· Collaborate with maritime leaders across Australia.





About You

We are seeking someone who wants to make a genuine impact rather than simply occupy a role. You'll likely have:

· Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent.

· 15+ years' experience in maritime and coastal engineering.

· Strong relationships within the New South Wales maritime sector.

· Demonstrated leadership and business development experience.

· Commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset.

· Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

· Based anywhere in New South Wales with a willingness to travel as required.
