We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and caring Personal Care Worker to join our team at Boronia Aged Care on a fixed term basis commencing 10 August 2025.

About the Role:

n

As a Personal Care Worker at Boronia Aged Care, you will play a hands on and meaningful role in supporting our residents with their daily living needs, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

n

You will work as part of a close knit, supportive care team under the direction of our Registered and Enrolled Nurses, delivering person-centred care that makes a genuine difference to residents and their families every day.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming and dressing
n
- Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities
n
- Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans and the direction of nursing staff
n
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families
n
- Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff
n
- Assist with meal preparation, serving and feeding where required Maintain accurate care documentation in line with organisational requirements
n
- Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
n
- Contribute to a secure, welcoming and homelike environment for residents
n

n

About You:

n

n
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (Required)
n
- Previous experience working in aged care (highly regarded)
n
- Genuine compassion and empathy for older people
n
- Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
n
- Flexible availability including morning, afternoon and weekend shifts (highly desirable)
n
- Australian working rights (Required)
n
- Current Police Check (Required)
n

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

n

n
- Experience with manual handling and mobility aids
n
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
n
- Flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations/boosters (highly desirable)
n
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
n
