Are you ready to lead open-source automation on programs that actually matter?

TTC Global is growing its Melbourne utilities practice and we're looking for a Test Automation Lead with exceptionally strong open-source automation skills to join us.

n

You'll work with TTC's senior quality engineering specialists across large-scale utilities and energy programs, helping clients modernise platforms, reduce delivery risk and release with confidence. This is a hands‐on leadership role where your technical judgement and automation expertise genuinely shape outcomes.

What you'll do

n

- Lead open-source test automation strategy and delivery across utilities programs
n
- Design, build and evolve modern automation frameworks (UI, API and integration)
n
- Be hands‐on with code, frameworks and technical decision making
n
- Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
n
- Define automation standards, patterns and quality metrics
n
- Mentor and coach testers to uplift automation capability
n
- Partner closely with developers, architects and delivery leads
n
- Ensure automation supports the reliability, safety and regulatory needs of utilities environments
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Proven experience as a Test Automation Lead or Senior Automation Engineer
n




- Robust background in utilities or energy environments (electricity, gas, water or energy retail)
n
- Deep, hands‐on expertise with open-source automation frameworks
n
- Ability to design frameworks from the ground up, not just maintain existing ones
n
- Strong programming skills and a practical engineering mindset
n
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and technical teams
n
- A pragmatic approach to quality that focuses on outcomes, not process for process' sake
n
- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO
n
- REST Assured, Postman, Karate or similar
n
- CI/CD and DevOps toolchains
n
- Work for a genuinely independent testing consultancy
n
- Open-source first, outcome driven and not tool-led
n
- Lead automation on complex, high-impact utilities programs
n
- Strong technical community and career progression
n
- Hybrid working based in Melbourne
n
