Job Description
Experienced civil and bulk earthworks supervisors, overseeing daily earthworks and activities on remote mining, road and civil projects.
n

Based on site, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily project earthworks and activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on budget and on schedule. The successful candidate will work a 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster in remote SA, NT, VIC & NSW.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;
n
- Effectively managing resources to ensure achievement of production schedules;
n
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements;
n
- Providing effective leadership and supervision through 'on the ground' presence, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals;
n
- Providing timely and accurate information to meet management and Client requirements;
n
- Maintaining and adhering to the scheduling of project activities;
n
- Ensuring all contractual and KPI reporting is provided to management and the Client;
n
- Working closely with the Project Management Team to ensure project activities are completed safely, within budget, and in a timely manner;
n
- Inspiring and encouraging others towards goal achievement;
n
- Periodically assessing employee performance by conducting scheduled appraisals in accordance with performance objectives and prepares corrective and development plans as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:
n
n
- Experience in a supervisory/management role within bulk/civil earthworks (essential);
n
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Management (or equivalent experience/qualification) (highly regarded);
n
- S1, S2 and S3 qualifications (highly regarded)
n
- Demonstrated understanding of mining and/or civil plant and equipment operations and maintenance;
n
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings;
n
- Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;
n
- Confident communication and ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors;
n
- Experience with and confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance related systems (MEX) etc;
n
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
n
- Desire to work in remote locations; and
n
- Have a hands-on approach.
