Service Coordinator - Electrical / Mechanical Building Services

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Super (DOE)

About the Company

Design & Build is proud to be partnering with a well-established building services contractor to recruit an experienced Service Coordinator. With a strong reputation across Victoria, our client delivers planned and reactive maintenance solutions across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure projects.

n

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a technically minded Service Coordinator with an electrical or mechanical background to support the day-to-day delivery of their service division.

n

The Role

n

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating a team of field technicians, ensuring service works are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in electrical or mechanical building services who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building solid relationships with clients and technicians alike.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Coordinate and schedule planned and reactive maintenance works.
n
- Allocate service technicians based on priority, location and skill set.
n
- Liaise with clients to manage service requests and provide regular updates.
n
- Prepare quotations, work orders and service documentation.
n
- Coordinate subcontractors where required.
n




- Monitor job progress to ensure KPIs and service level agreements are achieved.
n
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
n
- Support invoicing, variations and job close-out processes.
n
- Maintain accurate records using service management software.
n
- Work closely with the Service Manager to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You

n

To be successful in this position you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Service Coordinator within electrical, mechanical, HVAC or building services.
n
- An electrical or mechanical trade background is highly regarded.
n
- Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance environments.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- Experience coordinating multiple technicians and competing priorities.
n
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
n
- Experience using service management software such as Simpro, Uptick, AroFlo, Pronto or similar is advantageous.
n
- High attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
n
