The Company

Our client is a leading FMCG manufacturing business with a strong presence in the industry. They are seeking a Procurement Officer, to oversee the Packaging and Raw Materials portfolio working closely with the existing supply chain team.

The Role

Reporting to the leader of the procurement team, and working closely with the wider internal stakeholders, the role will be based in SW Sydney.

Key responsibilities include

- Sourcing and procuring Raw Materials and Packaging that will be used in the manufacturing process.
- Support material evaluation, change control, including material substitutions, specification updates, supplier changes, and cost-driven optimisation
- They need someone who is confident on sourcing, leading negotiations, managing suppliers and overseeing cost targets.
- Supporting inventory planning and working with both domestic and international logistics providers.
- Working with the production planning teams and the demand planners to monitor stock levels of raw materials across the site.
- Support the quality team to ensure suppliers are providing products, on time, with no defects and in the correct quantities.





Your Background To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Solid experience of managing Raw Materials and Packaging procurement within Pharmaceuticals, food, beverage, cosmetics, FMCG or a similar regulated environment.
- Proven ability of sourcing, negotiating and managing suppliers.
- Knowledge of logistics and import processes, including international sourcing
- Prior experience of supporting NPD and operational teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Analytical mindset and ability to work with data using Excel and MRP systems, will need to monitor inventory levels and support planning with placing orders with suppliers to drive OTIF.
