Role Description The Professional Year role at Morgans Financial Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Brisbane, QLD. This role typically involves supporting advisers and stockbrokers with client service activities, including preparing documentation, assisting with portfolio reviews, and responding to client queries under appropriate supervision. The position includes day-to-day exposure to trading and settlement processes, administrative tasks related to wealth and financial planning services, and coordination of client meetings and communications.
The Professional
Year participant will help compile research materials, maintain accurate records in internal systems, and contribute to the smooth delivery of stockbroking and wealth management services. The role also supports learning and development through structured training, mentoring, and practical experience across various areas of Morgans’ business.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or progress toward a degree in finance, commerce, economics, business, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and investment data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, professional client and internal stakeholder interactions.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage documentation, compliance requirements, and multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn financial platforms and CRM systems.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets, wealth management, and stockbroking, including an understanding of basic investment concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, take initiative, and act ethically in line with professional and regulatory standards.
- Eligibility and willingness to undertake a Professional Year program as required by industry and regulatory frameworks.
