Role Description The Project Control Specialist is a full-time role based in Melbourne, VIC, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work from home. In this role, the specialist will support project teams with cost control, project tracking, and performance reporting across property and construction projects. Typical responsibilities include preparing and monitoring project budgets, maintaining cost forecasts, and analyzing variances between planned and actual expenditure.





The specialist will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and ensure projects stay aligned with financial and schedule targets. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, maintaining accurate project documentation, and leveraging data and technology to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor, manage, and report on project financial performance.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Control and Budgeting skills to support planning, forecasting, and governance across multiple projects.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide explicit, actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering, finance, quantity surveying, or a related discipline are beneficial.
- Proficiency in project management and cost management software, strong Excel capabilities, and experience in property and construction projects are advantageous.
- Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment are important.
