We're looking for an experienced Freight Operator to join our team at our Stuart depot in Townsville on a casual basis (28.5 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a team that values safety and flexibility.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Operate medium/heavy forklifts and reach stacker; provision, service, clean and perform lower‐level maintenance on rolling stock.
n
- Serviceability checks on all machines.
n
- Operate and maintain heavy lifting equipment (exceeding 16 tonne) and other sundry terminal and site equipment.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
n
- RS Class Drivers Licence (preferred).
n
- DG licence would be highly regarded, but not essential (will be obtained during employment).
n
- Forklift & crane tickets.
n
- Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of rules and regulations of operations area, Workplace Health & Safety, and Dangerous Goods.
n
- Robust problem‐solving and communication skills.
n
- A willingness to work day, afternoon & night shift (up to 12 hr shifts) and including weekend work as required.
