This is a hands-on leadership role combining business development, key account management, sales leadership and operational oversight. You will take ownership of the Victorian market, developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships and ensuring operational teams consistently deliver a high level of service.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of business development and revenue growth across Victoria
- Identify and pursue new customers, markets, projects and partnership opportunities
- Proactively develop opportunities within existing accounts for additional services, equipment replacement, repairs and ongoing service requirements
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure opportunities are actively progressed
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, capability information and commercial solutions
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Act as a senior point of contact for customers within Victoria
- Conduct regular customer meetings, site visits and account reviews
- Lead and coordinate tenders, RFQs, RFPs and major customer proposals
- Maintain accurate and current information within the CRM and relevant business systems
About you
- Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, sales or state/regional management
- A proven ability to generate current business and grow existing customer accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-oriented approach
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving capabilitiesThe ability to manage multiple opportunities, customers and priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Confidence working with sales targets, budgets, forecasts and KPIs
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- The ability to work collaboratively with operational and technical teams
