We are currently seeking acompassionate and experienced Male Disability Support Workerto join our team inGriffin, QLD.

About the Role

n

This is an exciting chance to support a client with complex care needs while promoting independence, dignity, and community participation.

n

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

n

n
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the client's individual needs, including supporting a client withbaseline paranoia and anxiety.
n
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene and continence support.
n
- Support community access, appointments, and daily living activities.
n
- Assist with mobility using a4-wheel walkerand, when required, awheelchair.
n
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation.
n
- Promote a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for the client.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Experience supporting clients withschizophrenia, acquired brain injury (ABI), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), intellectual disability, and personality disorders(preferred).
n
- Experience providing personal care, including continence and hygiene support.
n
- Confidence using mobility aids such as a 4-wheel walker and wheelchair.
n




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- A compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach.
n
- Flexibility to workmorning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and sleepover shifts.
n
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification.
n
- CurrentWorking With Children Check (Blue Card).
n
- CurrentNDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
n
- CurrentNational Police Check via Rapid Screening.
n
- CurrentQueensland Driver's Licence(international licences are not accepted).
n
- Reliable vehicle withcomprehensive car insuranceand current registration.
n
- CurrentFirst Aid (HLTAID011)andCPR (HLTAID009)certificates.
n
- Valid passport or evidence of Australian work rights (if applicable).
n
