The Property Council of Australia, representing the nation's largest industry employing over 1.4 million Australians, is seeking a dedicated Public Policy Specialist to join our team. Our members include a diverse range of companies involved in property investment, management, and development, along with qualified service providers.

Position Purpose
n
Manage the coordination and delivery of the SA Division's policy, advocacy, government relations, and corporate communications activities, aligning with the Property Council's priorities and member services.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Contribute to the design and implementation of public affairs and corporate communications strategies.
n
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets.
n
- Manage policy and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with members for the SA Division.
n
- Coordinate with the Property Council's national office and other divisions on shared activities.
n
- Prepare submissions to government at various levels.
n
- Provide strategic advice on the division's activities and budgets.
n
- Support the Executive Director with executive support for the Division Management Committee and Council.
n

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Strong understanding of political and policy development processes.
n
- Experience in policy development and management across sectors.
n
- Media relations and public speaking skills.
n
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage timelines effectively.
n
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
n
- Strategic problem-solving capabilities.
n
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and develop strategic networks.
n
- Leadership experience in small team environments.
n
- Relevant tertiary education in planning, politics, public affairs, or law.
n
