Our state government client is hiring Optimization Change Project Manager . The role manages the implementation of operating model changes to ensure they are effectively adopted, sustained and integrated into business operations. The role supports the successful transition of teams and functions by driving the practical application of structural, process and role-based changes through best practice delivery, change and stakeholder engagement.
Key deliverables
1. Provide specialist advice and leadership on embedding initiatives to support the implementation of the operating model and delivery of improved business outcomes across Divisions.
2. Plan and manage operating model transition activities, including change readiness, capability uplift, and operational alignment, to ensure enduring adoption of new ways of working.
3. Lead coordination and delivery of embedding activities in partnership with design, change and operational teams, tailoring solutions to local business needs while maintaining alignment with strategic intent.
4. Analyse the effectiveness of embedding activities through data and feedback, adjusting approaches as needed to maximise impact, address barriers and support continuous improvement.
5. Support leaders and teams to apply the new operating model in practice, including role clarity, process adoption and cross-functional collaboration.
6. Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, tools and resources to guide and support ongoing embedding efforts, ensuring consistency, traceability and reusability across workstreams.
7. Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders,
program teams and delivery partners to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to operating model implementation.
8. Actively identify and respond to risks, interdependencies and change fatigue, and provide mitigation strategies that ensure momentum and engagement are sustained throughout the transition period.

1. Managing the complexity of embedding a new operating model across diverse stakeholder groups, with varying levels of change readiness and operational maturity.
2. Operating in an evolving transformation setting, requiring adaptability, continuous re-alignment, and the ability to deliver in ambiguity.
3. Ensuring that embedding efforts are not only completed but sustained and adopted in the long term, while maintaining alignment to strategic goals and practical business needs.
Essential Skills / Requirements
1. Tertiary qualifications in business, organisational development, project management or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience in large-scale transformation or operating model delivery.
2. Proven experience in embedding complex operating models, change initiatives or organisational design within large, matrixed environments.
3. Advanced stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead adoption activities and influence outcomes across a wide range of audiences.
Daily rate $875 +super per day Duration-6+months
Location-CBD /WFH option
