About the Position
This is an entry-level Project Manager opportunity supporting the delivery and close-out of projects, with a strong focus on project start-up, completion and surface major maintenance activities. The role will assist with operational readiness, C-Core and F-Core documentation closure, and general project coordination, working closely with Senior Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of projects from initial start-up through to completion and close-out.
- Coordinate project activities across surface major maintenance projects.
- Assist with operational readiness activities alongside Senior Project Managers.
- Manage and close out C-Core and F-Core documentation requirements.
- Coordinate project documentation, reporting, approvals and other administrative requirements.
- Liaise with site teams, contractors, engineering personnel and project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues and escalate potential risks or delays as required.
- Support project handover and completion activities,
ensuring all documentation and deliverables are finalised.
- Provide general project management support to Senior Project Managers across the project lifecycle.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Junior Project Manager or similar project management role, ideally within mining, resources or heavy industry.
- Understanding of project delivery processes from mobilisation/start-up through to completion and close-out.
- Experience working with project documentation, reporting, compliance and close-out requirements.
- Exposure to operational readiness activities would be highly regarded.
- Experience with C-Core and F-Core documentation and processes would be advantageous.
- Previous experience working on a major mining site or within a similar operational environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting and collaborating with Senior Project Managers.
