Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Officer - Capital Works to join our Operations team. This exciting role will lead the delivery of minor capital works projects and support major infrastructure projects across some of the Northern Territory's most unique and remote communities.
Reporting to the Projects and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards For a more detailed description click here

What your day will look like, but are not limited to:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of capital works projects.
- Developing project scopes, specifications, budgets, schedules, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Monitoring project finances and preparing reports for management.
- Identifying and managing project risks.
- Conducting site inspections and supporting project delivery across remote communities.
- Building project management capability across Council teams.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven project professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering quality infrastructure outcomes for regional and remote communities.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing projects from planning through to completion, with a robust understanding of project management principles, budgeting, procurement, contractor management, and risk management
You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from planning through to completion, with the ability to deliver outcomes safely, on time, and within budget
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, risk management, and reporting
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and adapt to changing operational requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- A genuine commitment to supporting regional and remote communities through the successful delivery of impactful infrastructure projects
Other Requirements
- Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
- A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
- A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
