Your role

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing executive office that supports the Deputy Secretary and the broader Corporate Services division in achieving strategic and operational priorities. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will provide high-quality business support services and play a key role in facilitating the efficient operation of the Office of the Deputy Secretary.

What you’ll do

As a Business Support Officer within Business Coordination, Office of the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services division, you will provide a range of business and administrative support services, including:

- Manage the Office of the Deputy Secretary shared mailbox, MiniApp and TRIM workflows, ensuring matters are accurately assessed, allocated and monitored.
- Coordinate workflow, allocations and executive matters to ensure the timely progression and completion of work.
- Maintain records, systems and information management processes to support efficient business operations.
- Respond to enquiries and assist in resolving sensitive, complex or confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support divisional priorities and outcomes.




- Identify and implement business process improvements and contribute to projects that enhance office and divisional operations.
- Prepare and coordinate correspondence, briefings, advice, meeting papers and other business documentation.

What we’re looking for

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, managing competing demands and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong interest in and understanding of the importance of coordinating / facilitating the flow of accurate information between business areas, to and from Senior Executives and ministerial offices.
- Ability to work with and influence different stakeholders
- Cooperative, proactive and professional, with sound judgement, discretion and a commitment to customer service
- Good written and verbal communication skills including record keeping, emails and correspondence.
