What you will do

As an investigator, you will lead regulatory investigations into responsible breaches.

You will inspect licensed venues, assess risks and recommend fair enforcement action.

You will:

- conduct complex investigations into possible breaches of liquor laws and recommend appropriate action;




- complete detailed research, analyse evidence and provide clear advice on investigation matters;
- inspect licensed venues, observe activities and identify serious compliance or social harm risks;
- prepare accurate reports, briefs and recommendations for enforcement or prosecution action;
- make proportionate decisions based on evidence, policies and procedures.

About you

You need a Victorian driver's licence or an equivalent licence. A relevant tertiary qualification or formal investigations qualification is desirable. At least five years' investigation experience is highly desirable.

You should also have:

- strong investigation skills, including experience with complex cases and preparing briefs;
- data analysis skills, with experience reviewing information and reporting findings;
- clear communication skills, including briefings on complex issues for different audiences;
- sound judgement, with the ability to solve problems and adapt to changing priorities.
