We're seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions across a complex national logistics and network operations environment.

n

This role sits within a major enterprise technology function supporting large-scale operational networks and freight/logistics capabilities. You will work across multiple strategic initiatives, translating business needs into scalable, future‐ready technology architectures.

n

You'll partner closely with program delivery teams, engineering, and senior business stakeholders to design solutions that enable transformation across the end‐to‐end operational value chain.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop solution architecture designs and documentation for major programs and projects within the network operations portfolio.
n
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, technology strategy, and roadmaps.
n
- Evaluate business and technical requirements and propose scalable architecture options across existing and current platforms.
n




- Provide architecture governance and technical leadership during project delivery phases.
n
- Work closely with delivery teams, vendors and stakeholders to ensure solutions are implemented in line with approved architecture.
n
- Contribute to technology strategy, business cases and financial estimations for major initiatives.
n
- Represent architecture in governance forums and support enterprise‐wide technology planning.
n
- Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, including senior leadership.
n

We are particularly interested in candidates with exposure to large-scale logistics, transport, or distributed operations environments.

n

Ideally you will have experience with:

n

n
- Transport Management Systems (TMS)
n
- First, middle and last mile logistics operations
n
- End‐to‐end fulfilment value chains (acceptance, processing, line haul, delivery)
n
- Large enterprise IT transformation or modernisation programs
n
- Architecture across cloud, SaaS platforms, APIs, microservices and event‐driven systems
n

n

Experience working across complex operational networks, large field workforces, or logistics platforms will be highly regarded.
