Assistant Manager, Audit, Risk and Integrity (Integrity lead)

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) (CDPP) is seeking an Assistant Manager Audit, Risk and Integrity (Integrity lead) to support the delivery of our audit, risk and assurance programs and lead the delivery of integrity initiatives across the agency.

Working as part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful, high-profile issues, gain broad exposure across the agency and contribute to a strong culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement across the CDPP.

What will you bring?

You will have experience in the delivery of internal audit, risk management, integrity and assurance functions, preferably in a public sector environment, with a solid understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and will bring:

- Sound judgement and strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex issues, weigh risks and make well-reasoned recommendations;
- Integrity and discretion in everything you do, demonstrating an understanding of the importance of confidentiality, impartially and ethical decision-making;
- Experience in providing specialist advice on organisational integrity matters such as fraud and corruption control, public interest disclosure and conflict of interest;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences, including senior executives;
- An ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively in pursuit of agency outcomes; and
- A continuous-improvement mindset, supporting colleagues, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a high-performing team.

The key duties of the position include:

In addition to meeting the Integrated Leadership System profile of the Executive Level 1, primary outcomes and accountabilities will involve be:

- Providing operational support and specialist advice on all aspects related to areas of responsibility in accordance with relevant legislation, frameworks, policies and procedures;
- Managing the application of the CDPP Fraud and Corruption Control Plan and supporting artefacts, including the Fraud and Corruption Control Risk Register;
- Developing the CDPP Integrity Framework and contributing to the delivery of the Integrity Action Plan;
- Overseeing the administration and embedding of key integrity policies including the CDPP Conflict of Interest Policy and Public Interest Disclosure procedures;
- Contributing to the management of internal audit and risk management functions;




- Conducting reviews and driving the continuous improvement of integrity, risk, and internal audit artefacts, including policies, frameworks, control plans, guidance and other educational resources;
- Coordinating the CDPP’s legislative attestation process and other assurance activities;
- Providing committee coordination and support, including the development and delivery of high-quality reports to the Audit and Risk Committee, Executive Committee, and Integrity and Security Committee;
- Supporting the Privacy Officer with administration of the CDPP Privacy Policy;
- Undertaking complex problem solving and providing issues management for internal and external stakeholders; and
- Working collaboratively with the Branch leadership team to deliver on broader objectives.

Eligibility

- The ability to obtain/maintain satisfactory National Police Check and AGSVA Baseline security clearance
- Australian Citizenship

Notes

Qualifications and Experience:

- Specialist knowledge and experience in fraud and corruption control, conflict of interest and public interest disclosure policy;
- Experience, preferably in a public sector environment, across most areas covered by the position, with the demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge for the remaining areas; and
- Relevant tertiary and/or other qualifications desirable.
