The opportunity

n

We are seeking an experienced Principal SAP Security Consultant to lead application security across a large and complex enterprise SAP environment.

n

This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for ensuring an enterprise SAP S/4HANA Finance, Business and Logistics solution, including SAP GRC Access Control, is securely designed, configured, implemented, maintained and reviewed.

n

This is not a general cyber security position. You will need demonstrated, hands-on experience delivering SAP S/4HANA application security solutions within complex enterprise environments.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance of SAP application security authorisations.
n
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to senior security consultants and wider project teams.
n
- Analyse and resolve complex S/4HANA application security issues.
n
- Design, build, test and document SAP security roles, authorisations and supporting processes.
n
- Define and implement application security controls, policies and procedures.
n
- Support security role implementation and ongoing role maintenance.
n
- Identify, assess and remediate potential Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts.
n
- Provide expert advice to management on security risks, issues and initiatives.
n
- Support audits, compliance activities and security incident investigations.
n
- Work closely with architects, developers, testers, functional teams and business stakeholders.

- Lead knowledge-transfer and handover activities to build internal capability.
n

About you

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Extensive experience designing, implementing and maintaining SAP S/4HANA application security authorisations.
n
- Strong experience building and managing security solutions within complex SAP environments.
n
- Hands-on experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
n
- Experience with SAP BTP security, including CIS, IAS and IPS.
n
- Strong knowledge of security role design, access controls and Segregation of Duties.
n
- Proven experience providing specialist technical advice across SAP security support and project delivery.
n
- The ability to lead, mentor and support other technical team members.
n
- Robust analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
n
- The ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
n

A relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification would be well regarded but is not mandatory.

n

Contract details

- Contract period: 10 August 2026 to 31 December 2026

- Rate: $1,170.93 per day + 12% superannuation
n
- Location: Brisbane CBD
n
- Hours: Full-time, five days per week
n
- Work arrangements: Flexible work may be considered, subject to operational requirements and approval

Some work outside standard business hours may occasionally be required to support testing, releases, deployments and critical project milestones.
